Security of Salvation

Among Christian theology, there are two extremes concerning salvation security.
There is no security in Calvinism or Arminianism.

  1.  In Calvinism, God will choose a few;
  2. In Arminianism, a few will choose God.
  3. In Restorative justice, God chooses everyone and everyone will choose God.

The Calvinist needs to answer why God would create so many people knowing He’s ‘elected’ them for hell.
The Arminians (free will) need to answer why God would create so many people knowing that so many of them would reject Him and thus spend eternity in hell.

In Restoration, in the conservative sense, God chooses everyone, and everyone will choose Christ, (Ephesians 1:10 in the fullness of time). Salvation is secured by the Blood of Christ, Justification is secured by Christ, and Sanctification is made complete through the restorative fire. It is a process. But God will complete restoration, from start to finish. Ultimate security is knowing Christ accomplished redemption for all people through His wisdom, not the wisdom of fallible men.

"And He has made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to bring all things in heaven and on earth together in Christ." -Ephesians 1:10
